Good afternoon from a brief port stop in Boston! The fall cruise to Canada is underway, with an amazing departure from New York yesterday

I’d never cruised from New York so it was an amazing opportunity to see my hometown from another vantage point.

Was very excited to sail under my favorite bridge since childhood, the Verrazano Narrows

The first night on the ship was good – had dinner at the ships BBQ specialty restaurant

A bit of a rolling and wavy night as we navigated east past Long Island and then around Nantucket and Cape Cod.

I’ve booked a shore excursion of Boston’s Freedom Trail today during this brief stop which I’m looking forward to. Portland, Maine will follow tomorrow.
