Greetings from a sea day along the mouth of the St Lawrence River! We’re currently sailing along Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula, heading toward a cruise up the Saguenay River tomorrow.

Yesterday was a fun visit to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. In one of those travel coincidences, my coworker Lois and her husband were vacationing in Charlottetown so I was able to spend time with them catching up. Amazingly, their vacation rental was right in front of the port where the ship docked.  I’ve been very lucky to run into a number of friends on my travels this year, which always makes a solo trip even more fun.

Afterwards, I ventured to the PEI Shellfish Festival, one of Charlottetown’s big events. While I’m not a fan of seafood, there were cooking competitions and local food and drink.

We’ve truly reached the fall temperatures – it was around 53F today here in eastern Quebec – and it’s quite refreshing.

PS…where we are sailing is part of the airline routing between Europe and the US/Canada, so I’ve been able to do some plane spotting from my balcony this afternoon 🤓
