Definitely encountered autumn today in Quebec’s Saguenay River region! Woke up this morning to an amazing view of the Saguenay River fjords as we sailed inland towards La Baie.

Once docked, I took an excursion to see Chicoutimi, the largest district within the greater Saguenay region. I knew of Chicoutimi as the place at the top of the TV weather map when I was in college where the winter temperatures were always frighteningly low and the snow always inconceivably deep.

After stopping by a few landmarks, we headed back to La Baie, and I had lunch at a microbrewery near the port. My first poutine of the trip 😁.

This cruise ends tomorrow at Quebec City, a place I’m glad to finally visit. I’ve been to Montreal many times, but have never ventured east. I’ll tour the city, stay overnight, and fly home on Thursday.
