For day two in Porto, I decided on a hop-on hop-off bus which would take me to the oceanfront.  After a very long two hours thanks to Porto’s center-city traffic, I arrived at the other side of the Atlantic in Foz do Douro. This is roughly equivalent to the latitude of New York, so I waved to family and friends 😁

Heading back to Porto, I rested a bit at the hotel and walked across the Dom Luis to meet the group for the last of the tour activities

First up was a “6 bridges” boat ride on the Douro.

We then toured the Porto Augusto port wine house, sampling both red (tawny) and white port wine 🍷

Finally, a last dinner with the group in an excellent location, overlooking Porto from the Gaia side of the Douro.

Your fellow travelers and your guide can make so much of a difference on a trip, and this Portugal trip had some of the best! I’m not surprised, as GAdventures is my favorite tour company for that reason.

I’ve really enjoyed traveling with Mikaël and his group, they made my Portugal tour really special.

Another day of touring on my own in Porto to come before traveling home on Sunday 😊
